Nathan was a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2005 and is now the owner of Gordon Head Massage Therapy.

He is a calm, dedicated and caring massage therapist, focused on treating and releiving pain and dysfunction. Some of the people Nathan has helped include nurses, desk workers, athletes and students. His gentle yet specific technique is especially effective at treating deep muscle pain and tension.

Nathan's philosophy towards massage is this: he believes that every person is unique and brings a different challenge. Therefore, every treatment he does is unique and focused. He believes that massage therapy can be a profound and extraordinary experience and he enters into each treatment with that in mind, determined to give the most effective treatment he can.

Continuing education training Nathan has taken since graduating include
            Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)
            Schweitzer's Deep Tissue Therapy, and
Active Release Techniques (ART) for the lower limbs.

Testimonial

Nathan Garrison is an exceptional, professional massage therapist who is committed to resolving severe chronic pain issues from physical injury. He has made the difference in my life.  A history of sports and work related injuries turned my life from participatory, active and enjoyable to physically immobile with unrelenting neck and shoulder pain and intense, unstoppable headaches.

When I first started seeing Nathan I had almost given up hope of ever hiking or taking walks again, as simple garden-strolls could cause muscle spasms resulting in fierce headaches lasting for days.  My life went from happy independence to daily pain filled misery, sometimes even wondering if I could get out of bed.

Weekly massage therapy visits with Nathan inched me back to hope, laughter and well being.  Because of the chronic nature and history of the injuries, it took a while to recover but this summer I backpacked the Rockies, and now have resumed a weekly fitness schedule.

In the course of my recovery, Nathan has been a true massage therapist/health practitioner, answering questions, explaining anatomy, teaching appropriate exercises and in the end, being a profound part of the reason of why I can fully participate in an energetic lifestyle once again.  I’ve already recommended him to others who are locked in the pain cycle with physical ailments that don’t improve.  And yes, he’s making a difference to them as well.

Russell Yoshida, RMT

Days of work: Friday, Saturday

Russell Yoshida began his healing arts journey in 1997, when he was introduced to Massage Therapy. Successfully becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, he has worked professionally for over 10 years. While working with the human body he discovered there was a piece missing.

He furthered his education in 2003, studying Traditional Chinese Medicine, in Victoria, British Columbia. From his studies he discovered the missing piece; the energetic system of the body. Russell has developed a unique technique which bridges the gap between Eastern and Western philosophies, to assist in harmonizing the body’s physical and energetic systems.

As a healer, Russell is constantly seeking creative new ways to foster a dynamic learning environment  while promoting high quality compassionate patient care.
